On a message board that I go to often I found out that since I let my children wear character clothing and light up shoes that I am whitetrash. I let my kids wear things that they enjoy and I see no harm in it! Of course I am a huge Disney freak and wear disney shirts myself so how can I tell my children no? I used to care what people thought of me. I thought I had to have expensive things in order for people to like me. Luckily my thinking has changed. Who cares if I carry a coach purse or one from target(I love my new $20 purse by the way). Why does it matter to others? I just don't see why people are so materialistic in the world today. I am so glad that I am finally over me being materialistic and I can actually enjoy life, save money and not worry about keeping up with the Joneses!

So I guess I am proud that I am considered whitetrash!

I am all about the Target purses - the one I carried all through Europe was $10 there (and who cares that one of the pockets is coming off now - it was $10!). And I think light-up shoes are too much fun. I say pppppptttttthhhbbbbbttttttt in their general direction.

Aww, I don't think that makes you white trash. Everyone has different tastes, and people shouldn't judge other people for that. Don't pay any attention to them.

Maybe if you were spitting chewing tobacco into your Target purse, or using it as an ash tray... But not just because you have a Target purse.

Your kids always look beautiful and so put together. But, even more important than that, they are happy. If characters on their clothes make them happy, then what is the harm? They are children for Goodness sake...let's let them enjoy life a little bit!

And, I for one am thankful for Target and their $20 purses! It's much more fun to buy a new purse whenever you feel like it since they are so cheap than blowing your mortgage payment on one that you'll be stuck with for years because you paid so much for it!

Casey, if you are considered white trash, then count me right there with you! I will wear that label with pride!
