Easter Sunday & Two in Training

We had a great Easter Sunday. We made it to church in one piece -- no small feat with 3 small girls who are each wearing more articles of clothing than even Emma can count. The service was excellent. We had brunch/lunch with Casey's extended family at the Doral hotel over by Texas Motor Speedway. We've eaten there twice before and it's something I look forward to, mainly because of how much I love food (Prime rib, salmon... Mmmmm... I'm hungry again). Then we went over to Casey's parents house and did our annual Easter basket hunt (less corny than an egg hunt, and since you find a lot of candy at once it's much more exciting). I received my birthday presents from Casey's parents and from Tab & Chad -- woo hoo for Amazon.com! Now I just have to decide what to buy...

On the way from church to brunch, I asked Emma if she knew what today was. She seemed stumped. I said, "Today is Easter." She nods. "Do you know what Easter is about?"
"Easter bunny!"
Casey and I look at each other and groan. We know she's only three but we were hoping she could at least get the concept that Easter isn't about a bunny. We talked with her about it and she seemed to actually get it... on the way home without us asking she said "Easter is about God"! Good!

We got home and were tired. Casey asked Emma to sit on the potty and she went! Yay for Emma! Then Madison did her "usual" as of late, which is to cheer Emma on and then talk about the potty. This time, she also pulled at her pants and said "off". I thought this was interesting, but I took them off and she took off her diaper and headed for the little potty seat. She sat for a few minutes while I was in the other room, and when I came back the seat was wet, as was a little of the floor and the rug. Madison went pee pee in/on/around the potty for the first time! We have TWO girls potty training at once!

I am not sure I am ready for two in training! I am just getting the hang of one and I feel Madison will be tougher to handle b/c she doesn't speak the way Emma does and doesn't tell me when she is wet or dirty.. Oh man

I think it's exciting - Madison's a smart little girl, and it's pretty amazing that she's already figured out what the potty's for and when to use it. I bet she'll come up pretty quickly with something particular to tell you so you know when she needs to go. It's great that she has Emma to watch and mimic!

I think it's great that they're both learning together!

Maybe your grocery budget will get a really big "raise"!
